Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was competence building at AstaZero within the different systems for testing automated vehicles of different types.
Expected long term effects
AP1 has developed and deployed technology for more complicated traffic scenarios and benchmarked the technology for test positioning within ISO Technical Specification 22133-1. AP2 has increased the robustness of installations and the testing of heavy vehicles. This has resulted in shorter test times and lower test costs, fewer errors and higher reliability in the test results. increased testing efficiency to keep costs down for AstaZero´s customers and industry partners.
Approach and implementation
AP1: The developed ISO communication interface for control of different target carriers is the basis for managing complicated scenarios. AP2: Methods and eligibility requirements for testing heavy vehicles have been compared with those for passenger cars. AP3: Various elements of the test have been further automated, for example video documentation and weather logging AP4: Weaknesses have been identified and corrected. Instructions have been developed to create efficient, standardized work methods and troubleshooting schedules, to identify and fix errors more quickly.
