Arctic Business Incubator - Excellens 2015

Purpose and goal

Arctic Business Incubator (ABI) shall, through this project create new successful innovative high-growth and export company based from Skellefteå to Kiruna. By doing this can ABI and other regional actors together achieve our vision of creating a successful and attractive environment in northern Sweden for new export and high-growth companies and through this contribute to strengthening the skills, attractiveness and prosperity in northern Sweden.

Expected effects and result

The direct impact of this project will be that ABI supports ideas from our universities, innovators and entrepreneurs and also companies or government public organization, and from these support the creation of innovative new export and high-growth companies. The indirect effect is that through this work will ABI contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the business establishment, expertise, and investment in our region and also increase understanding and expertise in start-ups.

Planned approach and implementation

ABI shall work with a broad and inclusive influx of ideas and work both directly with innovators and also closely with other regional and national actors such as; LTU, ALMI, Norrbottens and Västerbotten County Councils and Regions, various interest and business organizations etc. The ideas and companies that ABI works with shall be give international and individually tailored support and counseling focused around the following main areas; business, finance, team and company building. They shall also be offered support services such as office and labs.
