Important results from the project
The objectives of the project were to make a plan for development and qualification of analytical tools for licensing of small lead-cooled reactors for commercial power production, as well as to file an application for VINNMER-funds to implement the aforementioned plan. Both of these objectives have been met.
Expected long term effects
The outcome of the project was an application for VINNMER-funding for the project leader to work 36 months at KTH in Stockholm, to develop and qualify analytical tools for licensing of small lead-cooled reactors for commercial power production.
Approach and implementation
The planning project was conducted during the visits of the project leader to Stockholm and to Canada. During these trips, she met with Swedish and Canadian nuclear industry. At these meetings, the quality requirements and the documentation process for tools to be used in the safety analysis of new reactor types in Canada were discussed.
