Important results from the project

The primary goal was to create pop-up elements that challenge current norms with focus on women in the public space as well as skills and critical thinking development for the project group. The evaluation of popup spaces reveal that mixed groups use these sites. This report describes what has been done to achieve the goals and what could be done differently. We have summarized how we can work in future projects in order to design norm creative design solutions. This report is a start for our long-term goals, which is developing norm-critical methodology and creating networks.

Expected long term effects

A quality program and a report based on the design of the street in Hallonbergen. The documents have resulted in guidelines to help us shape design and critical thinking norms and their process in the future. In order to contribute to societal knowledge and to expand our network in the area we have: - Implemented a Tengbom Talks where we shared our insights with colleagues at the company. An external Tengbom talk is planned. - Written a debate article on the subject and highlighted the project via social media - begun a start up phase to create a norm critical design network

Approach and implementation

- Inventory / analysis of women´s needs in the conducted dialogue - Workshop setup with expert, workshop with a focus group for young girls from Hallonbergen, was unfortunately not possible due to logistic reasons - Popup, built on site with young people from Hallonbergen. - Dialogue with residents to evaluate the Popups while doing a graffiti workshop on site, a female graffiti workshop leader - An internal Tengbom talk, project specific discussion on norms and gender architecture - A quality program and report. - Norm critical feedback from the expert on all stages in the process
