AISE - Advance Industry, Digitalisation and Electrification

Reference number
Coordinator Innovatum Progress AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 018 500
Project duration November 2024 - November 2025
Status Ongoing
Venture Advanced digitalization - Electrification
Call Advanced digitalisation - electrification in 2024

Purpose and goal

The industry wants to switch to fossil independence in order to build competitiveness and sustainability. This leads to bottlenecks for both digitalization and electrification. AIDE (Advance Industry with Digitalization and Electrification) is a project that focus on manufacturing at GKN in Trollhättan (Operations support), views on systems-of-systems with Trollhättan Energi, University West to reduce CO2 and avoid capacity shortages and is led by Innovatum Science Park.

Expected effects and result

Results are expected to include mapping (incl. ISO ICE 61850), scenario development and forms of collaboration together with potential calculations that are replicable. In addition, a new level of data/sensor/system is reached with method development to achieve advantages of advanced digitalization to the electrification of industry. Effects include a good basis for continued initiatives, collaborations and project. AIDE will directly help for co-development.

Planned approach and implementation

Three phases (linking to work packages) are planned for implementation that simultaneously enable an iterative, agile perspective. With i) Mapping and method development; ii) Forms of cooperation and installation with new level data/sensor/system digitalization; iii) Scenario development for ways to smart electrification in order to measure/steer situations applicable to manufacturing and power systems.
