Important results from the project
The purpose of the project is to create a prototype of new queue free shopping experience. The goal is to give the consumer a feeling of security, simplicity and time saving. The project created a fully working prototype store and mobile apps where a queue free shopping experience can be demonstrated for several users simultaneously.
Expected long term effects
The Airflow prototype should demonstrate the queue free shopping experience and prove a technical maturity so that the service can be further developed in cooperation with Itabs customers. A working prototype that demonstrates the shopping experience have been showed to customers in Itabs lab store.
Approach and implementation
The work was divided into six work packages from requirements analysis to go-live. The work packages were broken down so that development could be clearly followed. The project members have been organized into squads where each squad has had their own planning, in addition, project management and squad leads have joint planning. The work has been carried out agile with 2 weeks sprints. Governance has been done with a steering group, the project has had access to a market group to represent customer and user interests. It has been a well-functioning way of working.
