Important results from the project
The purpose of AI Sweden is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness, and for everyone living in Sweden. On a high level, the program of AI Sweden has developed in a very positive and at a pace higher than expected.
Expected long term effects
The overall objective was to serve as an engine for the Swedish AI ecosystem that fuels the Swedish economy and attracts leading global expertise who intend on making a significant impact in their field. During 2020 an extensive set of short- and long-term effects was defined. The achievement towards such effects are to be followed up in the years to come.
Approach and implementation
AI Sweden has focused on gathering the Swedish AI-ecosystem and collaboratively building horizontally, across sectors, knowledge and resources, both technical (such as infrastructure, data, expertise) and non-technical (such as legal, organizational), as well as co-location offices, international relationships, best practises and knowhow, inspirational events, and support functions, such as funding support, recruitment support and communication. Broadly speaking, the strategy and implementation have proved successful.
