Important results from the project

The project aimed to investigate the relevance of an AI model within social services in the municipality of Lund. The investigation considered: Business-specific and legal subprocesses in the municipality´s case management and follow-up work within the national IBIC model. How such an AI model could function. Sub-goals: 1.Identified requirements. 2.Risks and opportunities through SWOT analysis. 3.Selection of AI model. 4.Architectural sketch.

Expected long term effects

The project has developed an architecture for generating AI-powered decision support for IBIC investigations based on transcribed meeting data. Testing has produced practically useful documentation for decision-making. The project has identified several areas where AI can support the case management process through analysis and prediction, improving quality and reducing case processing time. Additionally, AI can contribute to good and close care and improve and develop the work environment.

Approach and implementation

Employees from different parts and levels of the administration, as well as Socialstyrelsen, have reviewed the case management process, mapped requirements and opportunities, and then selected a suitable subprocess for AI support. The project partners then designed a suitable AI-system. This included legal mapping, selection of an AI model, and an architectural sketch. The solution does not yet fully meet all formal requirements, but it maintains a good level as a decision-making tool.
