Important results from the project

The goal of the project is to develop the Swedish Electronics Industry´s Agenda 2.0. This has been done mainly through information gathering at workshops and interviews. Two reports have been produced; A background report and a popular version of the strategy. The following goal areas are prioritized and recommendations are linked to each area. On 23-12-04, "Swedish electronics - a leader in the green transition" was launched. The popular version has been published on Smartare Elektroniksystem´s website. The achievement of the project´s objectives is considered to be very good.

Expected long term effects

A background report and a popular version of the Swedish Electronics Industry´s Agenda 2.0 have been produced. The effects of this project are expected to be an increased focus on the Swedish electronics industry, as well as the areas; Sustainability, Skills supply and knowledge, Value chains, and Areas of excellence and initiatives. In addition, the ambition is for the strategy to be implemented in different sectors of society, such as politics, industry, research funding, etc. The expected effects will take place at both national and international/EU level.

Approach and implementation

This agenda has been developed by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, on behalf of Smarter Electronic Systems. During the spring of 2023, about 40 personal interviews and three major workshops (with a total of 165 participants) have been held with representatives from the electronics industry, research environments, financiers and electronics-intensive companies. Reports and agendas from, among others, Smarter Electronics Systems, Vinnova, the Swedish Electronics Association and European industry alliances in electronics have also formed the basis for the agenda.
