Aero EDIH - EDIH for Digital Transformation of the Aviation and Aerospace Industry

Important results from the project

Vinnova´s funding was to facilitate the start-up of the European Digital Innovation Hub Aero EDIH and lay the foundation for collaboration within the consortium, this objective has been achieved and Aero EDIH is today a well-established project within the industry and the project delivers in all target areas. New collaborations within the industry have been established.

Expected long term effects

New jobs, more efficient logistics flows, increased digitalization, increased use of HPC and AI, and improved cybersecurity in the lower airspace. Faster standardization of the new industry.

Approach and implementation

Aero EDIHs consist of a consortium of partners from the innovation environment, research environment and private actors coordinated by Norrköping Science Park AB. The various partners have been responsible for their delivery parts of the project. Weekly meetings have been held within the project group which then reported to the steering group which in turn reports to the project´s general assembly which has made the project´s strategic decisions. The timeframe has been essentially followed.
