Important results from the project
The IMPACT project has been run by Medtech4Health and Swelife together with the aim of increasing the Swedish interest in and participation in the EU´s research and innovation program Horizon 2020 and influencing the next content of the next framework program. The goals have in all essentials been met with a broader dissemination of information, an increased interest among researchers and SMEs, with several initiated consortium discussions, more applications from SMEs, and measurable inputs in various calls.
Expected long term effects
The good results measured within the project generate increased reflux from the EU research and innovation program to Sweden in the short term. In the long term, the commitment to various activities carried out shows a great potential and interest in the programs and the Swedish strength areas. One reason for this is that even more collaborations and applications can be created in the long term. The recordings that the project has contributed to also mean that future calls will better match Swedish interests.
Approach and implementation
The working methodology in which Medtech4Health and Swelife jointly operated the project with a working group consisting of the 3 industry organizations in life science, academia, regional representatives etc. have been very good. A broad knowledge and network were thus available for the project´s implementation. Selected activities have all contributed to achieving the goals in the project all the increased knowledge for participating parties and important network building. Participation in the reference group Hälsa´s work has been a good way of influencing the call texts.
