Purpose and goal
This staff exchange is framed within a major initiative to increase MDU and Swedish competency in AI and software architecture.
Expected effects and result
The expected outcomes of this collaboration include establishing a joint research project and producing high-quality research papers for submission to top software engineering conferences such as ICSE and ASE.
Planned approach and implementation
During the staff exchange, Associate Professor Alessio Bucaioni will engage in a collaborative R&D project aimed at integrating AI into software architecture practices. This joint initiative between MDU and SMU focuses on leveraging large language models (LLMs), to enhance the design, development, and maintenance of complex software systems. The primary tasks include three visits where Associate Professor Bucaioni will collaborate closely with Professor David Lo and his team, leveraging their AI expertise to push the boundaries of software architecture innovation.
