Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to secure Addressya´s IP and develop a strategy in preparation for global expansion. With the help of consultants, the company has made an inventory of existing IP and competitors´ registered rights and developed strategies for the development and management of intellectual property rights and brand, now and in the future.
Expected long term effects
Addressya has, together with the consultants, carried out an inventory of Addressya´s IP and brands, current management and protection. An external analysis has been carried out and the consultants have delivered a strategy and plan for managing IP and trademark protection. These are living documents and will be discussed and updated on a regular basis.
Approach and implementation
The work built on previous IP and trademark work done within Addressya. We have worked iteratively throughout the project, starting with an inventory where we identified IP, brand and ownership issues, followed by an external analysis and the development of a strategy and plan. It has been a close collaboration. Brann are experts on IP, trademarks and ownership issues, while Addressya has knowledge and expertise of East African markets, users and companies active there.
