Important results from the project
The project´s objective was to develop unique software modules with advanced features for extracting, processing, and comparing large amounts of purchase data. This has been fully achieved. Users can now do all this in a so-called self-service product, launched under the name Spendency. The product has been internationally evaluated as the most customer-friendly in the market of an international actor (SpendMatters) who is specialized in evaluating niche software for the procurement market.
Expected long term effects
The product has been very appreciated by the market. Effso has more customers and deeper relationships withh them thanks to the product, and customers consider they can work more fact-based and proactive in their procurement efforts. The product is now ready to be launched internationally.
Approach and implementation
The project has been run with internal resources that have deep knowledge within procurement, combined with external resources that have contributed extensive knowledge of how to build a scalable software solution, both regarding system architecture and system design. These two complementary skills have produced a product that is easy to implement and easy to use. If we review our budget, the need for external resources was estimated well, while the project has required more internal resources than expected before project launch.
