Important results from the project

The project has contributed to bringing Sweden closer to the UN´s global objective in Agenda 2030, linked to the objective that promotes equality, health as well as peaceful and inclusive communities. The project will continue to live on local, regional and national levels after the end of the project period. Partly through the development of the Expert group Children education for dissemination, but also through the project remaining within the City of Gothenburg in the form of the concept "School as an arena" and contributing to area development from a children´s rights perspective.

Expected long term effects

The result of Bris Innovationslabb in Tynnered can be summarized under four main themes: Children´s rights are strengthened, Bris as a catalyst for change, Collaboration outside existing activities and Social change on several levels. The work with Bris Innovationslabb, among other things, has resulted in several direct measures proposed by the children. But above all, the effects are visible in the long term, as actors in the area have been given tools for continued collaboration.

Approach and implementation

The method Expert group Children has gone from being used internally in Bris to being used and attracted externally. In order to meet the high demand for the method on local and national level, a training material has been prepared for dissemination. The Innovation labs Expert group Children and Expert group of adults have worked through the project with participation, influence and the importance of working with the children instead of for. Asking and listening the children and then adults acting on this, leads to change and improvement of children´s living conditions in the area.
