Important results from the project
In the project Bernhard made significant contributions to sensor testing, sensor improvements and sensor signal processing with custom advanced software tools.
Expected long term effects
Bernhard’s contributions to the device testing, the hardware and advanced sensor data, as well as quality testing pipeline led to improvements in the development process and improvements that will be implemented in current Acorai medical device and future devices.
Approach and implementation
Initially he worked on establishing an acoustic test bench. This project allowed him to familiarize himself with the device’s purpose and sensors. He then moved to testing and improving a wider range of sensors. Over time as he became expert on all sensors and has tested various aspects of the device, he took on the task of developing a data quality check tool that enabled deep insights into the device’s performance with different hardware and firmware configurations.
