Important results from the project

The purpose and the goal with the project are well achieved and the most critical questions has managed. The turbine environment, the steel weight for the platform with associated geometry and fatigue properties together with solutions for the mooring are well documented

Expected long term effects

The effects of the project has 3 tiers. First tier is the achieved results according to the projects goals which make it possible for Hexicon to claim TRL level 3. Second Tier is that we have created vital documentation for further design work. Third Tier is that Hexicon can use the results in our Marketing and sales work and that we are seen upon as more trustworthy against all stakeholders and other bodies having requirements on the Hexicon Concept.

Approach and implementation

The project has followed a model with subprojects, responsible project managers, detailed planning of scope wit associated economical, competence and resource planning together with purchasing of subcontractors. Reviews have been carried out continuously in order to correct work and manage before the project started unknown questions. The project shows once again how important requirement analysis is together with correct input-data as all projects are linked to each other´s with regard to in and output data
