Purpose and goal
With the 6G vision, our goal is to develop novel network architectures, protocols, waveforms, and algorithms for a new network concept called “Sensing Integrated Elastic 6G Networks”. This concept focuses on sustainability with minimum cost and energy consumption by combining network elasticity—where resources are dynamically adjusted—with integrated sensing capabilities.
Expected effects and result
One of the main goals of this project is to demonstrate the efficiency of our new design approaches, accelerate knowledge transfer and commercialization, and influence the future standardization of Cell-Free mMIMO systems. The outcome of the project will be the demonstration and integration of the selected system features in testbeds at UoS and KTH.
Planned approach and implementation
The project structure is composed of five work packages which are designed to facilitate the effective utilization and dissemination of results. Regular meetings, workshops, and demonstrations will ensure that findings are shared, discussed, and integrated across all work packages, promoting internal knowledge exchange. Academic publications, conference presentations, social media, and industry reports are planned for dissemination.
