Important results from the project
To further develop our equipment 3DPM, we need to collaborate with an international industrial partner to understand their needs and eligibility requirements. We have developed a method that makes it possible to predict material particle size distribution (PSD) for the entire bulk depth using 3DPM surface data. Therefore, together with a partner, we want to verify this with an on-site feasibility study.
Expected long term effects
During our visit to the USA, we found a partner in Arizona who showed interest in our equipment and the possibility of its further development. We have therefore started a project together in this aim. Before a feasibility study can be carried out, we must first find a suitable location and also make a decision about what is to be studied and what boundaries should apply. We also met a potential partner in Canada who we will now proceed with testing their material in our lab with 3DPM.
Approach and implementation
First, several team meetings with a new partner, then establishing schedule and aim, then implementation in 2024.
