Important results from the project
The project was aimed at verifying that the process we developed can produce electrically conducting pigments that are commercially acceptable in printing inks. We now consider it verified. The final goals, to chose a business model and a strategy for implementation, have also been reached.
Expected long term effects
The results from the projects show that there is a commercial potential in making electrically conducting carbon inks using the type of process developed at the Mid Sweden University. The project has been an important detail in the start up of 2D fab AB. Our expectation is that with time a profitable and growing company has been started.
Approach and implementation
The project was conducted together with Sensible Solution AB, which ensured that we had a well-defined end product and specification for that. There were also established contacts with a printer, experienced in printing electrically conductive inks before the project started. The market analysis was made together with an external partner, which gave new ideas. Over all the planning and execution worked well, even thought there was a certain amount of time optimism in the project plan.
