Sweden has great potential to increase its ability to innovate so that the food system contributes to caring for both the environment and human health, while at the same time providing us with food, jobs and quality of life. Vinnova is now developing a new initiative that will contribute to key players together building capacity and conditions for innovation and sustainability in the Swedish food chain.
As a starting point for the work, workshops and interviews will be conducted in February with people who have an important role in enabling the move towards a sustainable food system.
The idea is to offer funding for 4-5 mission-oriented innovation environments where each environment gathers actors from relevant parts of the system around a common objective. Who can apply for funding, how much and for what will be presented before the summer.
We work with a mission-oriented approach to contribute to system change, by bringing actors from different sectors, industries and disciplines around a bold, inspiring and measurable objective that must be achieved within a certain period of time. The goal must have an effect on society and politics and be relevant to a large part of the population.
Are you interested in participating in a workshop or interview?
Tell us who you are (name, organization and role) and which food-related issues you are particularly passionate about or have special experience of. Send it in an email to Therese Porsklint at Vinnova. We will review all registrations of interest and will get back to you in February about any participation in the workshop or interview.
