Broaden the horizon through exchange of skills

Do you or your organization want to broaden your horizons to gain new contacts, insights and collaborations? Vinnova now offers funding for people active in research and innovation who want to work in another organization for up to 18 months.

- Some knowledge acquisition and competence development can only take place by meeting and working together. Therefore, collaborations between organizations with different competencies and resources are important, says Joakim Tiseus, who works with competence supply at Vinnova.

Vinnova now has two offers of funding that can contribute to knowledge transfer and skills development for industry, business and public organizations.

• A broad offer to for a period have the opportunity to work with research and innovation activities in another organization in whole or in part for up to 18 months.
• A targeted offer for organizations that want to strengthen their research and innovation capacity by hiring an international researcher with cutting-edge expertise. The offer applies to PhD researchers who have completed a project with funding from the EU's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action in Sweden.

Moving people between organizations is an effective way to increase an organization's ability to innovate and learn. Exchanges of this type deepen the competence of both the individual and the existing staff. It can also provide an organization with insights into future recruitment needs.

- Companies with strong innovative capacity are crucial for Sweden's welfare and competitiveness. Skills exchange and new insights are a valuable opportunity to help companies grow and develop to contribute to sustainable change, says Joakim Tisues.
