Financial market research for a sustainable economy

The financial markets play an important role in the transition to a sustainable economy. On behalf of the government, Vinnova is therefore carrying out a long-term effort on financial market research.

Sustainable Finance Lab is a consortium consisting of six universities / research institutes where sustainability researchers together will create an internationally leading competence center for sustainable financial markets. The ambition is that it will lead to development towards increased social and environmental sustainability, both in Sweden and internationally. The center will focus on, among other things, new thinking about risk and opportunities, sustainability norms and policies as well as transformation, technology and innovation.

In the autumn of 2020, Vinnova also decided to provide continued funding to the national center Swedish House of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics with SEK 100 million over five years.
