New digital tools will increase people's functional ability

The solutions should help more people get a meaningful, active free time and the opportunity to study and work. In this round, project are funded in the areas of sports and leisure and working life and school respectively. In 2021, the projects will demonstrate their prototypes publicly.

There are 12 project that share SEK 17 million. Some examples of project:

Digital accompaniment for visually impaired people in public transport

A solution to increase accessibility for visually impaired people in public transport through the use of mobile augmented reality.
Coordinator: RISE Research Institutes or Sweden AB

Speech-to-text with augmented reality for people with hearing impairment

Should develop a solution that allows a hearing impaired person to focus their gaze on other people and at the same time read the text of what is said by speaking words are presented as text via glasses.

Impossible run

A solution that will enable people with visual impairment to practice long jumps without assistance by allowing athletes who cannot see the lines and the board to hear them via a soundtrack in the track.

Coordinator: Svenska Parasportförbundet and Sveriges Paralympiska Kommitté.

Mobility X

Should allow people with muscle impairment to tailor their own permobil with the help of sensors, which allow them to increase their mobility.
