Sustainable mobility

Mobility can be described as the ability to move between places.

Movement creates accessibility to society for both goods and people, while at the same time there are challenges regarding climate impact.

Vinnova is working to realize the vision of a global mobility system that is efficient, healthy, climate-neutral and accessible to all.

An important priority for accelerated transition to sustainable mobility is linked to electromobility. We are therefore working to strengthen the innovation system's capabilities linked to advanced battery technology, electric charging infrastructure, policy development and behavioral change. In this context, system demonstrators that demonstrate the transition of entire systems are necessary and are being developed together with several other areas at Vinnova.

In 2022, we will prioritize initiatives that will accelerate the transition to fossil-free and efficient mobility. The same applies to initiatives for active mobility, improved accessibility without a car, and physical and digital infrastructure that enables equal mobility.
