Advanced digitalisation – future solutions in Swedish industry
The Advanced digitalisation research and innovation programme offers funding for project in industrial demand-driven innovation and system-changing initiatives. The programme aims to give Swedish industry a leading role in future digital solutions. It will support solutions that strengthen competitiveness and enable and accelerate the green transition.
Advanced digital solutions to be developed in Sweden
Advanced digitalisation started in 2021 is a long-term effort. Around a hundred innovation projects are already underway and 62 project are being started. During the years 2023-2027, the program will include around 4.5 billion SEK. Half of this is public funds and half is co-financing from industry. The open calls for proposals and other activities offered within the program are aimed at actors who, in collaboration, can contribute to developing advanced system solutions for industry.
The program focuses on the development of advanced, sustainable digital solutions of the future that increase the competitiveness of Swedish industry. It will also contribute to maintaining the leading edge in research and development in Sweden and becoming a country where the next generation of advanced digital solutions is developed.
Advanced digitalisation is a partnership between the state and the business community. The state, represented by Vinnova, finances up to half of the program's budget and administers various initiatives. The business community is represented by ABB, Ericsson, Saab and Teknikföretagen. A program office has been in place since 2022 with the mission to run the operation as efficiently as possible with the needs of the industry at its core.
