Background

The report "Accelerating European deep tech — new pathways from ideas to impact" has its basis in an EU conference on technology-intensive entrepreneurship that was held in June 2023. The report highlights several important points that can improve the conditions of deep-tech companies, including that Sweden needs:

  • A national deeptech strategy as a basis for investment in power
  • Adapt and further develop financing instruments and public risk sharing
  • Develop the innovation ecosystem for deeptech companies

Sometimes we photograph or video record our activities. If you don't want to participate in photos or videos, please let us when you arrive.

Insights from seminars and talks

The open and recorded part of the seminar ended with a round table discussion where invited participants discussed the following themes:

  • How can we create better conditions for the commercialization of research and the formation of deeptech companies? (Vinnova)
  • How do we develop the ecosystem so that deeptech companies can scale with Sweden as a base? (Vinnova)
  • How can we create value from and protect national assets? (PRV)
  • What is required for the Swedish capital market to develop to cope with the scaling and industrialization of capital-intensive deeptech companies? (Growth Agency)

Vinnova, Tillväxtverket and PRV have collected the main insights from the seminar and the roundtable discussions in the document below.
