Swedish authorities are active parties in three consortia that have been granted funding by the European Commission to establish European partnerships in the food sector. The partnerships will mean opportunities for Swedish actors, both researchers and other stakeholders, to collaborate, seek funding and share experiences with actors around Europe for the next seven years.
At this dialogue meeting, an insight into the partnership instrument is given, an overview of strategic agendas for the three food partnerships is given, and an opportunity is given for in-depth dialogue and questions regarding the partnerships, each individually. For the partnership in agroecology (AGROECOLOGY), preliminary calls for proposalsare also announced.

Swedish participation in the partnerships
Formas is an active party in all three partnerships. Vinnova is a party to the partnership on the food system of the future (FutureFoodS). The Swedish Agricultural University (SLU) and the Norwegian Veterinary Institute (SVA) are partners in the partnership on animal health and welfare (Animal Health and Welfare). The partnerships, which are a new instrument within Horisont Europa, are both a financing instrument and a forum for strategic collaboration.
