Driving Urban Transitions to a Sustainable Future, whose acronym is DUT, is a partnership program within Horisont Europa, with the aim of pushing for urban development towards a sustainable future. Over the next seven years, the partnership program will intensify European work on urban challenges and enable authorities, researchers, municipalities, companies and citizens to translate global strategies into local initiatives. The main tools of the partnership program are calls where researchers and other actors can apply for funding.
The programme's first call for proposals opens in the autumn of 2022 with a budget of around 80 million euros. There are thus conditions to receive funding for both research and innovation projects for Swedish actors who work with issues of mobility, energy and circular economy linked to the cities' sustainability work. For national ongoing project, it is also an opportunity to apply for funding together with foreign actors who want to work for sustainable built environments in a European context.
At the information meeting, Formas as coordinator, together with Vinnova and the Swedish Energy Agency, will tell more about DUT and the focus of the first call. It will also be possible to ask questions about programme and call for proposals.
