Webinar on Vinnova's effort in innovation environments to change the food system

Fri 22 Apr 2022 at 14:00-15:00

In 2022, Vinnova will develop a new effort to meet the system and policy challenges that hinder innovation and change in the food area. On April 22, we invite you to a webinar where we present the five areas that the initiative focuses on.

This web page has been machine translated. If there are any uncertainties, please refer to the Swedish text.

The top areas identified during the spring survey of the food area are:

  • Regenerative, resilient and nature-positive food production
  • Protein shift
  • Food tech for the food of the future
  • Preventive health through food
  • Sustainable eating habits in young people

During the webinar, we will present the areas and what future potential we see, as well as briefly tell about the investment in innovation environments to change the food system. We end with a question and answer session about the survey and the continued efforts.

What happens next?

The new initiative will contribute to key players together building capacity and conditions for innovation and sustainability in the Swedish food chain. The idea is to eventually offer funding for 4-5 mission-oriented innovation environments where each environment gathers actors from relevant parts of the system around a common objective.

As early as 2022, Vinnova will fund a number of mobilization and learning projects, which will give participants the opportunity to build trust and collaboration, formulate and anchor common objective and create an understanding of the mission-oriented approach. This will create the conditions for next year 2023 to be able to apply for funding for long-term innovation environments.

More information and information meetings about the initiative will come before the summer.

Sometimes we photograph or video record our activities. If you don't want to participate in photos or videos, please let us when you arrive.
