The top areas identified during the spring survey of the food area are:
- Regenerative, resilient and nature-positive food production
- Protein shift
- Food tech for the food of the future
- Preventive health through food
- Sustainable eating habits in young people
During the webinar, we will present the areas and what future potential we see, as well as briefly tell about the investment in innovation environments to change the food system. We end with a question and answer session about the survey and the continued efforts.
What happens next?
The new initiative will contribute to key players together building capacity and conditions for innovation and sustainability in the Swedish food chain. The idea is to eventually offer funding for 4-5 mission-oriented innovation environments where each environment gathers actors from relevant parts of the system around a common objective.
As early as 2022, Vinnova will fund a number of mobilization and learning projects, which will give participants the opportunity to build trust and collaboration, formulate and anchor common objective and create an understanding of the mission-oriented approach. This will create the conditions for next year 2023 to be able to apply for funding for long-term innovation environments.
More information and information meetings about the initiative will come before the summer.
