Increased carbon efficiency in bio-based circular value chains - efficient use of every carbon atom

Demand for materials and products that contribute to the green transition is expected to increase. Biomass, together with recycled raw materials, are important components in the transition to a sustainable circular economy. This call within BioInnovation is aimed at projects that want to accelerate the green transition through increased carbon efficiency in bio-based value chains, value cycles or value networks. The ambition is for the projects to aim for each carbon atom to be used as efficiently and for as long as possible. Funded projects must have the objective of stimulating efficiency improvements in existing carbon flows or developing new carbon flows for increased resource efficiency and circularity. Projects may also aim to develop new processes, products, applications and create value chains or value cycles for side- and residual streams or bio-based recycled raw materials.

Who can apply?

The call for proposals is primarily addressed to demand side manufacturers, suppliers and users of bio-based materials, products and services. Also universities, research institutes and other relevant actors are welcome to participate.

How much can you apply for?

Up to SEK 4 million per project application.

    To apply for funding, you need to log in and complete an application form in our eServices portal. The application form contains questions about your project, the participants taking part in the project and your budget.

    This happens when the call for proposals is closed

    When your proposal has been registered, we email a confirmation to the person responsible for the user account as well as to the project manager and the signatory. This may take a few hours after the call for proposals closes. If you have not received a confirmation within 24 hours after the call for proposals closes, please contact us.

    When the call for proposals is closed, you cannot change or fill in any new information. Then you can only supplement your proposal if we ask for it.

    Who can read your proposal?

    Applications submitted to us become public documents. But we do not disclose information about the business, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer financial damage if the information is shown.

    This means that we must hand over the documents if someone requests them. But we keep confidential the information that we judge could mean financial damage if it is disclosed.
