The Government is commissioning the Swedish Agency for Innovation system (Vinnova), the Swedish Digital Governance Agency, the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency and the Swedish Research Council to jointly develop a proposal for the design and implementation of a strategic programme to meet and lead in the digital structural transformation. Vinnova is the coordinating public authority for the assignment.
The assignment was carried out by Andreas Aurelius and the final report was submitted on May 15, 2021.
Assignment to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) to make preparations to become a national coordination center linked to the European Cybersecurity Competence Center

Vinnova has been assigned to develop and implement initiatives for in-depth innovation cooperation between Sweden and India in the area of smart cities during the period 2018 - 2021.
The assignment was carried out by Karin Rydén and the final report was submitted in connection with Vinnova's annual report 2021.
Mission to support the development of social enterprises
Vinnova has been commissioned to carry out an effort to support the development of social enterprises. The assignment is part of the implementation of the government's strategy for social enterprises - a sustainable society through social business and social innovation.

Assignment to analyze Sweden's innovation and production capacity for vaccines and other biological medicines
The Government instructs the Swedish Agency for innovation system (Vinnova), in collaboration with the Inquiry into Access to Vaccines against COVID-19 (S 2020:07), the Inquiry into Health and Medical Preparedness (S 2018:09) and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB (RISE), to analyze and describe the conditions for how Sweden's innovation and production capacity for vaccines and other biological medicines compares with the capacity of other countries.

The Government instructs Vinnova, together with several authorities, to develop a proposal for a national regional fund program for the Investment for employment and growth goal within the European Regional Development Fund, for the programming period 2021 - 2027, with the division of responsibilities as stated under the heading More details about the assignment.

Assignment to prepare funding for research efforts related to the corona epidemic
The Government instructs the Swedish Research Council, in collaboration with the Swedish Agency for
innovation system (Vinnova) to prepare to finance research and innovation that can quickly help stop the spread of COVID-19 and prevent future pandemic outbreaks.
The government wants to quickly provide extra support for research that can contribute to
mitigate the spread and effects of COVID-19. International collaborations, broad collaboration and scientific openness (open science) are particularly important in a situation like this. Sweden has many research groups, companies and organizations that conduct research and development of high quality and relevance to COVID-19. These actors could contribute to a greater extent than today to increasing knowledge and finding new ways to work against the pandemic and help build preparedness for future pandemic outbreaks.

The Government instructs Vinnova, together with several authorities, to assist the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Development, based on its areas of operation, in the work of developing proposals for national and regional programme for the European Regional Development Fund, within the Investment for employment and growth objective for the programme period 2021-2027.
The assignment was carried out by Jonas Brändström and the final report was submitted by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Development on January 29, 2021.
