Establishment of an analysis group for regional growth and attractiveness
The analysis group for regional growth and attractiveness 2014 - 2020 will,
where relevant, contribute to clarifying the regional perspective in
the authorities' analytical work in implementing the national strategy for regional growth and attractiveness. The Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation is the convener.
The assignment was carried out by Göran Andersson and Rolf Nilsson and the final report was submitted on December 31, 2020.
Participate in the work against antibiotic resistance
Vinnova will contribute to the Public Health Agency and the Swedish Board of Agriculture's work against antibiotic resistance. Together, we will develop a joint cross-sectoral action plan for antibiotic resistance for the period 2018-2020.
The assignment was finally reported by the Swedish Public Health Agency on December 31, 2020.
Assignment to develop a proposal for a strategy for Swedish participation in the European Union's Framework Programme for research and Innovation, Horisont Europa
The assignment includes, among other things, analyzing previous Swedish participation in current and previous framework programs. Based on the analysis, the authorities will describe what should characterize participation in the framework program, describe objective for Swedish participation, and provide recommendations for how these can be realized.
The assignment was carried out by Karin Aase. The assignment was finalised 2020-10-30.
Assignment to implement pilot projects for flexible short courses for working specialists
Vinnova will implement initiatives to strengthen the supply of skills in strategically important areas. The initiatives will promote lifelong learning through a small number of pilot projects, regarding flexible short university courses, at advanced level for already working specialists.

Support the development of circular business models and industrial symbiosis
Vinnova will investigate the possibilities and limitations that exist for achieving greater circular collaborations, primarily within industry, but also between industry and municipal facilities, for example. This includes the conditions for collaborations and clusters in the area to be developed and replicated. Part of the assignment is to identify obstacles in the regulatory frameworks surrounding the area.

Implement efforts for better public support for the management of intangible assets
Vinnova, in collaboration with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office, will implement initiatives for knowledge development and improved understanding of, and management of, intangible assets among public actors, business and the general public.
The assignment was carried out by Daniel Johansson. The assignment was finally reported on 2020-03-15.
Developing incubation in the food chain
Vinnova will support the development of innovative companies in the food chain by financing incubators and accelerators. We will contribute to developing the working methods, networks and knowledge of existing incubators and accelerators so that they can support innovative companies. We will also finance efforts so that incubators or other business support actors can help food companies in their work to commercialize new product ideas. The goal is for more commercially viable products to reach the market.
